On January 25th -28th, 2011 the Republican ski centre “Silichi” (Belarus) pursuing the initiative of the portal www.e-learning.by was hosting International Winter School E-Learning 2011. The event was sponsored by VEU Sourcing Company.

Professionals in the sphere of e-learning Vladimir Naumov (Belarus), Yuriy Duhnich (Ukraine), Andrej Miroshnichenko (Belarus), Yuriy Zharkov (Latvia) conducted four 4-hour Master Classes, the results of which can be put into practice upon the realization of any e-learning project.

John Downie, a representative of the SkillSoft Company, maked a presentation on the latest trends of eLearning development.

Also within the frameworks of the Winter School there were presentations of the several e-learning projects. They all were non-standard, informative and interesting to the listeners. One of the projects was presented during the virtual meeting with Problem Laboratory of Distance Education of the National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnical Institute", giving an overview of the methods of fostering cooperation between corporations and universities in the sphere of e-learning.

As during the Summer School, various competitions took place. The winners were given certificates for the yearly access to the collection of business literature from SkillSoft. And Yuriy Duhnich (Ukraine), a Master of the Winter School 2011, apart from the certificate also received a distribution disk with the programme for a quick elaboration of the e-courses – eAuthor from the Company Hypermethod IBS.
