A unique educational project for students, lecturers of higher technical educational establishments and schools was launched in January 2011 in the Republic of Belarus. It was initiated by EPAM Systems, a resident company of High Technologies Park, VEU Sourcing Company, a distributor of professional educational courses, and SkillSoft Company, a world leader on the e-Learning market.

Currently, in the IT sphere there is a brisk demand for a wide range of highly qualified specialists. And distance learning represents new perspectives for growth and development. Now educational programmes from the world leading company SkillSoft are available in the Republic of Belarus.

EPAM Systems and VEU Sourcing provided 1920 users from Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics (BSUIR) and Minsk State Institute for the Development of Educational (MSIDE) with free access to the educational programmes of SkillSoft Company, a leader on the e-Learning market. And at present students and academic staff are able to study SkillSoft programmes free of charge throughout the whole year 2011.

On January 24, 2011, at BSUIR scientific laboratory, there was a presentation of the professional educational courses SkillSoft followed by a press-conference in the Hotel Crowne Plaza at 16:00 devoted to the release of the project.
