Participation in the conference “Business Internet - 2010” Print

The 5th annual conference “Business Internet” was held on the 14th-17th October, 2010. For ByNET today it is the largest off-line event of the year, over the 5-year history its audience has reached 1500 people. The conference was attended by the leading and the most respected specialists from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine and the USA.

This event had an objective of spreading the Internet and its use in business, education, and public administration of the Republic of Belarus.

Within the framework of the conference “Business Internet”, for the second year in a row, there was a session held on the use of information technologies in education: “The Internet in Education”.

The session was hosted by Elena Lokteva, an author and a director of the project e-learning.by.

Various reports presented during the session highlighted the issues ranging from the use of E-learning in the education of schoolchildren to the creation of distance intraindustry schools for the graduates of higher educational establishments; from the evaluation of tutor’s role in web-education in Belarus to the general problems and difficulties faced during the study process.

Vitalii Shama, the director of the educational centre VEU Learning Center, participated in the session “The Internet in Education” with the report “The use of simulation programmes and their role in distance learning”.

The report outlines the place and the role of simulation programmes in the studying process, their use in SkillSoft distant courses as well as in the methods of the educational centre VEU Learning Center. Click here to listen or download the reports and questions of the audience.
